Vintage Valentine {Little Bear} to Print for Craft Projects

I'm sharing a vintage Valentine from my collection today. As always, it is a high resolution image so you can print and use it for your crafting projects. The children's vintage greeting cards are my favorite and they comprise the majority of my collection. The illustrations are always so cheery!

I have removed the original greeting (A Valentine for Nephew) so you can stamp your own phrase. The bear's hat is actually a feather! I'm thinking of attaching a  real feather to the top of the image with a little glue when I use this image in my cards. I don't ever use the original cards; they stay tucked away as part of my collection permanently.

Brooklyn, my foster puppy is receiving a visit from a potential adoptive family today. I'm hoping they are the perfect "forever" home for this sweet little girl!

Vintage Valentine Candy Box {Love}

At the last minute I gathered a few of my vintage Valentine candy boxes in a rusty crusty wire basket to make a centerpiece for my table. All the prettiness without the calories... they're all empty of course.

 

I love the bright red on my pale table. I don't use red in my decor so it's a pleasure to bring it out for different holidays with little accessories here and there.

 

Although I confess, this white box is my favorite. Maybe because it's so unique amongst all the red and pink.

Valentine Printable { & a Vintage Inspired Mantel}

My Valentine mantel decorations are late this year. Just a few days before Valentine's Day and all I had displayed was a garland of glittered hearts. A trip to the basement yielded a box of Valentine treasures, including this sweet printable I made last year, probably a just few days before the big day.

I pulled out a few of my basics... my chippy window frame and some vintage books for display bases. This sweet pottery vase was definitely going to be party of the plan.

This printable includes the letters framed in a really pretty shade of pale pink. I left a 1/4" border when I was cutting them out. I printed them on a cream-colored textured paper and thought it looked best leaving a bit of a border. I found a Valentine-themed red and pink scrapbook paper in my stash and glued the letters on top and then added one more piece of cardstock to the base. This piece was a pale pink and I decided to trim it with pinking shears to give it a zig zag edge.

That's it... pretty plain and simple! You can make this printable Valentine project as fast and easy or as intricate as you like!

Vintage Valentine Vase

I've seen lots of Valentine figurines in the stores the last few weeks. They're cute... many catch my eye.

And still, nothing compares to the vintage pieces I have. The simplicity, the touch of gold and even the patin of age are all the elements I love about vintage pieces.

Just missing one thing.... some flowers to fill it up!

Sweet Elf & Bluebirds {Vintage Valentines}

A quick vintage Valentine I wanted to share with you. I love the sweet little elf face and the bluebirds. Bluebirds are one of my favorite elements on vintage cards.

Valentine Fun from the Dollar Section {Target}

I found a few cute items for Valentine's Day in the dollar section at Target. These sweet little gift bags will be perfect for gathering goodies to send to my girls at college.

They also had these little plastic containers, four pink, four red. I can't decide if I'll fill them with small candies, folded dollar bills or quarters for the laundromat! The two-tiered stand has been repainted shabby gray. It used to be dark red and it always looked out of place. 

I also picked up some cute notepads that are already wrapped up in the bags.  I'm going to bake some cookies and make some Chex Mix to include in the packages, and of course add a pretty card.. I like to use the surface of my hutch to hold holiday projects and packages in progress.

The cut glass cake stand is a staple in my office. I enjoy collecting vintage greeting cards and the newest bits always end up here before I file them. Certainly less calories than chocolate cake!

Having the items out in plain sight will get me motivated to get the packages completed and on their way to my sweethearts. The little bags are so cute they almost become part of the holiday decor, don't you think?
