Dreaming of a White Christmas {Tree}

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas.... tree! I know, it's only September... but I would love to replace my almost 30 year-old artificial tree this year and I've been looking for some inspiration to help find just the right tree.
Source
There's something about a white tree. I get that it's not the most natural look, but let's face it... I am looking at an artificial tree, so why not go all out?

Source
The ornaments just glow on a white tree. I think it will be an especially nice touch with my vintage ornament collection.
Source
I think I have settled on the tree below for my new tree. Hopefully I can still catch a pre-season sale and be ready to deck it out for this Christmas season.

Source
Sorry to skip ahead a season, but once the trees are sold out, they're gone until next year. As long as I was clicking around shopping, I thought these pretty trees might be something you'd enjoy as well!

I am putting the Share the Love Wednesday link party to rest for now. I felt I wasn't able to visit every link each week and didn't want to continue if I couldn't put the time into it. It's been a busy summer and the fall is turning out the same way... there are lots of other great parties I'll be joining each week and I hope you will to. Thanks to all of you have linked up in the past!.

Welcome to Share the Love Wednesday at Very Merry Vintage Style! Thanks to each of you who linked up last week, there were lots of great submissions. I'm featuring two blogs this week for your creative inspiration!

First up... Houndstooth rocks this season's runway and now.... vintage furniture! This adorable telephone bench from Chantilly Charm was a curb find. With a bit of  TLC, a new paint finish and a beautiful fabric selection, it's been brought to new life as the star of a room.

This post is filled with lots of little details you will love. Click over to Lilies for Kate so you can see every bit of this pretty room. From the first picture in the post that features a crystal chandelier in the foreground as a beautiful frame, to the pretty vintage details tucked here and there, the styling on this post is just gorgeous!

I'm looking forward to this week's party to see what you have been up to. Link up, and please don't forget to link back within your post with a blog button (from my sidebar) or text link so that others can find the party.  If your post has been removed because there wasn't a link back, add the button below or a text link and link up again. Link Party Time & Ideas for Framing a TV in Style

via my first home on tumblr
Televisions are my least favorite visual element in my home. Although I enjoy them to get my fix of movies, home decor shows and news, I do not like the look of them in a room. This is one of my favorite solutions. A beautiful ornate frame surrounding this TV almost gives it the appearance of a stylish blackboard

The image above was one I had saved on my computer so I am not sure where it is originally from. I'm not sure if that's a frame around the TV or some kind of flat image like a wallpaper sticker.

Source
Here's another framed version over the fireplace. It looks like the frame is painted the same color as the wall. This would work to hide any empty space between the frame and TV... you could simply hang the frame around the mounted TV.

Source
Lastly, I've had this idea from Apartment Therapy in my files. I did like this idea but I really could find a better use for a pretty vintage mantel than this. I think it may position the TV too low to the ground for proper viewing as well.

How do you fit your TV into your home decor? If you've framed it or have another creative idea, I'd love to see it!

Link up any and all creative ideas you've been working on below by clicking the linky tool. Please include a link back to the party in your post so that others can easily find the party. If your link has been removed, please put a direct link back to the party in your post or landing page and link up again. A text link or button (on my sidebar) is fine.

Vintage Colors of the Globe & Coloring Yardsticks.... Share the Love Wednesday Link Party Time!

It's link party time! Welcome to Share the Love Wednesday--a place to share and find inspiration for all your fabulous projects.

Eclectically Vintage

I am featuring two links from last week. The first is a beautiful collection of globes. Occasionally I see a globe at the thrift store and wonder how or where I would display it. Grouped together, this fabulous collection of globes, it is really quire stunning! I love that each is slightly different in coloring--they are all little works of art!  The collection is from Kelly at Eclectically Vintage!

Creative Passage

This next link is so unique. From a broken down stool to a fabulous piece of furniture, I love all the details. It's actually pretty easy to replicate as well. From the unique colors she tinted each yardstick and the perfect contrast of a black iron base, this is a project I would love to do. Find the easy tutorial at Ellen's Creative Passage!

I'm looking forward to this week's party to see what you have been up to. Pink Garden Chairs, Garden Shed Envy & more at STL Wednesday Link Party!

Welcome back to Share the Love Wednesday at Very Merry Vintage Style! Thanks to each of you who linked up last week, there were lots of great submissions. I'm featuring four blogs this week for your creative inspiration!

First up is this gorgeous bit of garden style from Cottage and Broome. How sweet are these pink chairs? Dolled up for the 4th with pretty patriotic pillows and gathered around a simple bucket filled to the brim with flags. The rest of Laura's yard is gorgeous too!

At first disappointed with the idea of adding a "pool shed" to her patio, Mariaelena from Cottage Living: from Beach to Burbs challenged her husband to replicate a shed she saw on the cover of Country Living Magazine. He came through and added lots of style to make it a beautiful focal point in their yard.

They might be simple metal buckets, but all lined up and filled with beautiful blooms they really are quite an addition to this garden. Brooke has found a great way to repurpose them and an easy collection to replicate. I'll definitely have my open for some of these beauties! Check out the post at Creative Country Mom.

The creative ideas and uses for drop cloth fabric never ceases to amaze me. Painted with a pretty design and wrapped around a simple vase, it becomes such a unique statement. What a great way to unify different vases when you need many for a special event! This great idea is from Number 53!

I'm looking forward to this week's party to see what you have been up to. Link up, and please don't forget to link back within your post with a blog button (from my sidebar) or text link.

Red (or Pink), White & Blue Furniture {Share the Love Wednesday Link Party}

Welcome to Share the Love Wednesday! Whether this is your first time here or you are a returning visitor, I'm so glad you're here. I discover so many fabulous blogs through this party, and I hope you do to. Check out these beautiful, colorful links from last week...

I always take the easy way out with choosing a furniture color, going with ivory, gray or beige. When I see color used in a big and beautiful way, it is just amazing. It takes confidence in your style to choose a bold color and there is no shortage of it with this first feature!

This link was one of the last to join the party so you may not have seen it last week. It's from a beautiful blog that combines faith, furniture makeovers and a whole lot more that you will enjoy. These first three pictures are all Craigslist finds that Jacqueline has made over with fabulous style. I love the colors (and white is always in fashion). I'm Jaqueline's newest follower! She linked just the turquoise chairs and when I clicked around little further in her blog I found the pink and white dressers. They are just a small sampling of the great furniture projects on this blog.

If you click over to Image Remix, you'll see what a great makeover this table is. Discovered alongside a building in true junker style, the table has a new life in the capable and artistic hands of Liz.

One more quick feature this week... can you tell I have sugar on my mind? Not only do these cookies look yummy but my, oh my, are they gorgeous! Guess what she used as a cookie cutter... you'll have to visit Jody and Stan at Rooted in Thyme to find out!

Patio Reveal, Vintage Berry Baskets & Art Upcycle... Share the Love Link Party!

Welcome to Share the Love Wednesday, a link party where you can share the best of your blog among friends old and new.

Let's get right into the features for this week!

I'm always up for sprucing up the patio... wait until you see this beautiful setting. With a Home Depot seating set (for a fabulous price) and so many vintage finds, it's absolutely perfect for a beautiful setting to enjoy the summer! See all the pretty details at Eclectically Vintage!

How cute is this berry box? You won't believe the price.. and how many she found! I love the makeover with paint and graphics. The details are over at Moonbeams and Fireflies!

This feature is an upcycle.... take an old painting, add a quote with letter stickers, and paint over the whole thing. The cool part is that the print shows through where the letters were when you peel them off... giving the quote a great punch of color! Check out the tutorial over at Little Nostalgia.

These were just a few of the great ideas linked up... can't wait to see what you share this week!

UPDATE: Sorry for the trouble linking earlier--hoping it is fixed now!

Crafting In the Dining Room

I used to have all my craft supplies in the basement. When all my children were home and the house was a bit busier, it was a nice quiet place to enjoy making cards or scrapbooking. I could also leave my supplies and projects out, not worrying about the space looking a bit messy.

Now the kids are older, one on his own and the other two home from college seasonally, I want to be on the main floor and to have my supplies handy at a moment's notice to make a quick card. My crafting space of choice has become my dining table. I put a padded square down before I begin to work to protect the table, put an audio book in the CD player and craft away. I have more time now to keep things tidy, and I enjoy all the comforts of being on the main floor while I create.

My supplies are tucked into my bookshelves in neutral kraft paper boxes. Those supplies in prettier containers are simply left as accents on the shelves.

The cabinets that formerly held serving dishes, china and candles for special occasions now hold my craft supplies. All the dishes were moved to the basement.

I can create in beautiful light with a great view, near the kitchen; always the heart of the home, right? You can see my new drapes from Ikea in the picture above. I really need a wide angle lens for these room shots! I moved the rod up to the ceiling and I am really pleased with the effect. It's a bit more formal looking. The drapes came unhemmed, a glorious 98" long! The length is-perfect for this look and easy enough to hem to the proper size.

The golden retrievers are never far away, they were just taken outside for a few minutes while I snapped a few photos. The first few had a golden tail peeking out here and there and a wet nose poking against the camera. I swear sometimes they are like toddlers, into everything and never wanting to leave my side . As you can see, Breeze is ready to come back in.

Besides craft supplies, I also have dog biscuits in pretty containers ready to reward some good golden behavior. Enough about me... what have you been up to? I'll be posting the features from last week in another post as I am running short on time tonight.

In the meantime, link up and visit around... I guarantee you'll find some fabulous new friends with some great ideas to inspire your creativity.

Instant Vignette, Party Decor, Gorgeous Cookies & Garden Markers.... Share the Love Wednesday Link Party

Welcome back to Share the Love Wednesday... a link party to share the best of your blog! Link up, sit back and check out the other links; there's always tons of great ideas from around blogland. Meet some new blog friends and share your creative inspiration and passion for all to see.

Here's a few of my favorite links from last week...

Shabby Story

Isn't this such a pretty little vignette? Wait until you see what it sits upon... you'll love that idea too. It's made from things I have in my garage and garden. Check it out at Shabby Story!

Everybody loves a party... and this one is decorated in S-T-Y-L-E! With simple, inexpensive decorations, this backyard party set up looks right out of a magazine. There's so many great ideas here. Although it is a party for a one-year old, the ideas can be adapted to fit any age and any theme. Find all the party goodies over at Pink Hammers & Sippy Cups!

Sugar... gotta get my little fix every day and I can't think of any way I would rather do that than with these gorgeous cookies from Lizy B!

I've seen plenty of garden markers in shops and usually they don't have all the labels I want or are just too expensive. I love this idea for easy markers--so simple... and adorable! They're from Number 53. If you're putting them in the outdoor garden, then spray them with a clear sealer so that the writing doesn't wear off.

These are just a few of the great links from the last link party. I can't wait to see what you link up this week!  Please link back to the party with a button (on my sidebar) or a text link so others can find the party and Share the (Link) Love!
