Cute Angel Vintage Christmas Card

I've decided to share my Christmas card collection with you year round... I have too many to save just for the season, and I know many of you begin your holiday crafting early.

Isn't this the sweetest little vintage Christmas card? It is one of my favorites from my collection. The tree is sprinkled with glitter--hopefully the image shows some of that detail. This image is high resolution so you can use it in your craft projects.

Inside message: A little note to wish you Merry Christmas

Marked: by Norcross of course, SP114, New York

Image provided for your personal, non-commercial use only.

Bluebirds and Angels on a Vintage Mother's Day Card

Here's another sweet vintage Mother's Day card images to share for your crafting projects. This one features angels and bluebirds... can't get any better than that!

The bluebird graphic on the inside of the card is also beautiful. I'm including the Mother's Day verse as well. Wishing you and yours a wonderful Mother's Day!

Angels Singing Carols in Christmas Stockings {Yep}

I never get tired of looking at vintage Christmas cards. The colors are so rich,  the illustrations are adorable and the subject matter always amuses me.

For instance, this card featuring angels in Christmas stockings, singing carols with mittens on. Too cute!  This is a high-res image so you may use it for your non-commercial personal use in crafts, etc... Enjoy!

Vintage Wrapping Paper {A Gift of Inspiration} & Share the Love Link Party #1!

Flickr never fails me as a source of inspiration. I was looking for some vintage ballerina images on a Google search and this sweet wrapping paper popped up.

Source
Did you know there is a Flickr group for vintage wrapping paper? There are some really cute images. I couldn't resist these girls in Christmas tree dresses... even though it's February!

Source
On another Google search for vintage wedding images I also arrived in the Flickr wrapping paper group. Love the pastels and sweet faces on this design.

As I kept clicking within the site, I'm not sure how I found this little angel image but I thought it was really cute and wanted to share it as well.

Funny how I begin searching for one thing and get a little distracted by all the beautiful images and end up somewhere unrelated to my initial search. Like a kid in a candy store, I'm easily distracted by these fun vintage illustrations!

This Wednesday--tomorrow-- is the first installment of my Share the Love link party!
I hope you'll join me for this new link party. Link up the best of your blog--a post you love, and share it!

The link will actually be open tonight at 6pm EST for early birds, and remain open through Saturday evening. Since it's a new party, and my blog is less than a year old, I could sure use your help to help spread the word!
  • Link to a specific post you want to feature, not your whole blog (to do this, click on the title of the post you want to link and it will open on it's own page, then copy that url). Any type of post will work, no theme this time!
  • Grab my cute button (code is on my sidebar)  to include in your post or sidebar. text links are fine too.
  • If you have clicked around my blog and like what you see, consider being follower!
  • Try to visit a few other links if you can. Everybody loves comments and encouragement!
If you are new at blogging and none of this makes sense--just ask, I'd love to help!

Mark your calendar each Wednesday and Share the Love!

Welcome to My {Very Merry Vintage Style} Christmas Open House

This Santa looks into my family room through some french doors. He sits upon a flea market table I had to move to make room for the tree and have re-purposed as a wrap supplies table.

You'll recognize this pretty silver piece from an earlier post.. isn't it amazing as a wrap holder? Looks pretty enough to have out through the season... a bouquet of papers ( the miniature ones from the $1 area at Target).

A pretty thrifted silver tray becomes a place to keep pretty ribbon for the packages.

I have this pretty punch bowl from I filled with vintage red ornaments and a pretty silver ladle (flea market purchase).

A pretty Goodwill dish will hold tags & stickers...

Books from the library used book sale serve as a stage for a miniature vintage vignette...

French doors host glittered cherry wreaths (Home Goods) strung from ribbon.

A Santa pitcher sits next to a trio of cute elves...

This tree is next to my entry on a desk and features tiny vintage ornaments, a pretty vintage angel that I'm afraid to plug in. The mercury glass beaded garland is a favorite flea market find.

This is a wreath I made last year after seeing something similar on ebay.

Mr. and Mrs. Claus are kissing underneath the tree!

A few more glitter houses and reproduction trees sit among my pottery.

Santas are everywhere... on the bookshelves, near the entry...

This one is a lot of fun and in amazingly good shape.

My grandmother used to make crafts similar to this door knob decoration. She had tons of sequins and felt and made amazing creations.

This wreath is one of a set of 4. I purchased them at a garage sale in northern Wisconsin for a song.

My husband hung these little elves next to his favorite chair.

Here's a bit of my tree. All vintage ornaments, a collection started in college when my grandfather gave me some of his ornaments. I still have his and they are my most treasured.

This guy hangs out behind my tree and peeks out my front bay window. You'll see his front side in a future post. He is my biggest vintage Santa.

I have a beautiful new furniture piece my sister gave me that holds anything and everything gold in my vintage Christmas collection.

In my office I have a few silver pieces (thrifted) that I've used for display. This little sugar bowl holds a pretty bottle brush tree...

A thrifted teapost {missing the lid} holds a modern evergreen spray combined with a vintage mercury glass corsage.
Another beautiful Santa--love his eyes!

This one I just want to hug. He's happy and not too scary. Sometimes these vintage Santa dolls can be a little creepy (at least that's what my kids tell me).

This one was purchased as I tried to recapture my childhood. Mom had two of these; no one knows what happened to them.

More Santas. They are everywhere in my house. These three are just piled in a basket.

Below, Mr and Mrs. C  look like they are waving on the red carpet
.

Hope you have enjoyed my holiday home tour! This is most definitely, the merriest time of the year. I have more decoration posts you might like to see here
