A Pretty (Vintage) Way to Keep the Bugs Away!

In my neck of the woods the mosquitoes have been overpowering... turning a few peaceful moments in the garden or on the deck into a mosquito slapfest! The deck is always sweeter by candlelight anyway, so I've lit my collection of citronella votives to keep them at bay.

I spotted this vintage oil lamp in a thrift shop a few weeks ago and had a very merry vintage style moment as I pictured this beauty upon my table filled with tiki torch type bug repellent fuel. I've seen vintage lamps in a few antique and thrift shops as well as some newer versions that aren't as pricey.And if the wick in your lamp is missing you can purchase a replacement at Hobby Lobby.
